Coming back to BLDSMX after his debut in the Armada Sounds 001 compilation with ‘’Bruk’’, this creator now brings you a 4 track experience that you won’t forget any time soon. Suffering the consequences of the pandemic, Provoke felt like he was losing the fire to produce fast energetic music, but there is a positive side to all of this. After not playing any gigs in more than a year, he found a safe haven in slower, deeper music, obtaining inspiration from the 140 tempo range. This gave birth to ‘’Ripple EP’’, a release ready to stand the test of time.

Starting with an arduous tempest and carrying that into a drop with a cavernous beat, a demonic bassline and a cryptic message, the first song ‘’Ripple’’ is earth-shattering at the least. Then we have ‘’4LTTRS’’ making our blood run cold. Using a horn-like sound, Provoke really knows how to use the hermetism that lays inside og dubstep perfectly. ‘’Osiris’’ continues this immensely apocryphal story. The sound waves contained all along ‘’Ripple EP’’ have been decrypting our minds, but ‘’Osiris’’ reads into the unfathomable code of existence in a way that seems impossible.

This trip had to come to an end, but like in any ritual, the effects of it are eternal, and it is easy to say that you won’t forget this release any time soon. To close we have ‘’Rune’’ leaving a mark in our brains with a powerful and gigantic bass that lifts the veil and shows us the void and the light. What this EP unfolds is not easy to understand, but as soon as you finish listening to it, you will come back over and over again, because the enigma behind it feels familiar somehow, as mysterious as that may sound.
